- The Fourth Islamic Conference of Environment Ministers Condemns the Israeli Practices in the Golan: On the basis of a request by the Syrian Arab Republic, the FICEM, convened in the Tunisian Republic between 5 and 7 October the current, issued a strong condemnation statement about the environmental situation in the occupied Golan. The statement says: The participants strongly condemn the aggressive practices in the occupied Syrian Golan and the Israeli occupation destructive acts and damage that affect man and environment, including dangerous wastes dumping and transgressing the wastes, killing trees, crops and sea life.
